Salomon Reimagines Preseason Ritual for Ski Community with ‘Quality Ski Time’ Film Tour
Multi-stop tour highlights films from Salomon athletes and supported production companies
OGDEN, Utah (September 22, 2021) — Today, Salomon announces its 2021 Quality Ski Time Film Tour, which will premiere in Denver on September 30. The tour will highlight films from Salomon athletes and supported production companies, including Blank Collective (Alexi Godbout and Stan Rey), The Fifty Project (Cody Townsend), Mali Noyes, Chris Rubens, and Drew Petersen.
“The Quality Ski Time film tour is more than just your average adrenaline-filled premiere (although there is plenty of that),” says Jesse Ambrogi-Yanson, Salomon’s freeski global community manager. “These films are our athletes’ personal projects and stories. Whether it’s conquering epic lines, rediscovering your true passions in life, or discussions about mental health, these films all have one thing in common: skiing. We hope to not only bring our community together and get skiers excited for winter, but maybe you’ll walk away with a little something more.”
Presented by Salomon and sponsored by OnX Backcountry and Athletic Brewing Company, the Quality Ski Time tour has confirmed seven tour stop locations across the North American West, including: Denver; Breckenridge, Colorado; Missoula, Montana; Salt Lake City; Seattle; Portland, Oregon; and Tahoe City, California. Each tour stop will include giveaways from Salomon, YETI, OnX Backcountry, Hestra, Athletic Brewing Company, Pit Viper, GoggleSoc, and Protect Our Winters.
The 2021 Quality Ski Time film tour will feature the following films:
· Tales From Cascadia by Blank Collective
· Ups and Downs by Mike Brown and Drew Petersen
· Girl Crush by Mali Noyes and Mary McIntyre
· The Pit Boss by Chris Rubens and Blank Collective
· Summit Fever by Cody Townsend and The Fifty Project
“I’m psyched to get the community together and to create something fun. We’re going to make this film tour just like all the ski movie premieres I went to when I was younger. Those memories and the energy of that atmosphere are part of what ignited my deep passion for skiing,” says Drew Petersen, Salomon athlete and tour manager. “I believe ski movies and ski movie premieres should do one thing really well: make people want to go skiing. And we’re going to do just that.”
